Holding strong with 25+ years PEOPLE FOR PETS is the longest existing non profit pet adoption organization in Tracy. We are all committed and compassionate, non-paid volunteers. We take in homeless dogs and make sure they are current on all inoculations, micro-chipped and spayed or neutered. You can help support us in two ways. Donate to us through PAYPAL or support us through Amazonsmile foundation at https://smile.amazon.com Choose People for Pets as the non-profit organization you wish to support.
PEOPLE FOR PETS volunteers show our dogs every Saturday of the month (except the last) at Tracy Pet Smart from 11-2:00. We are continuously looking for families for our rescues. Our dogs happiness and care is our priority and we strive to provide a service
we would want our own pets to receive.

Dogs we currently have for adoption
Mick is an exceptionally nice dog. Mick was found near a river, dragging a long, huge chain attached to his neck, and he was literally covered in ticks. After 2 hours of pulling ticks off this poor guy we gave him a nice warm bath and good rub down, He didn't complain once! Thank goodness he was able to escape his abusive past. Mick is very loves giving kisses & snuggles & gets along well with other dogs too.
Little Earl is big on personality. He loves everyone and likes to cuddle. Earl was left at the Tracy animal shelter to die, fortunately he grabbed the heart of a fosterer and is now ready to find his FURever family. Could that be you?
Bixby is a loving and active girl. She is approximately 1.5 years old & is adorable. She is leash trained, house trained & crate trained. She learns fast & is very eagar to please. We think she is Jindo or maybe a Lab - Husky mix. We feel she will do best with an active, dog savvy family where she is the only dog and there are no young children. Bixby is very affectionate, current on inoculations, spayed and micro-chipped waiting to go home with her FUR-every family. Please inquire for more d
Samie is about 6 years old and is a Miniature Pincher mix. Samie currently resides with a German Shepherd but size does not matter, Sammie is the boss! Samie would rather do nothing but sit on your lap and take an occasional walk. She is a true lap warmer. Samie's personality is best described as the typical Min-Pin breed. Sammie is current on vaccines, spayed, and micro-chipped, house & crate trained and ready to go to her FUR-ever home today.
Shamy is an adorable Corgi mix. He is 12 years young, fun, loving and energetic. Owned by the same person since puppy-hood, unfortunately, Shamy is in need of a new family. Shamy is not being a good big brother to two very young children new to the family. Because of this Shamy needs a loving home with no young children, but older children would be great. Please consider adding Shamy as a new addition to your loving home.
Squeaky is an adorable light cream Chihuahua mix. He is 2 years old and weighs 5.2 LBS. He is current on his vaccinations and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Squeaky potty training and doing well. Squeaky is a little on the shy side but is getting better. He is an active, playful little guy. He gets along with other dogs in the home. Squeaky will need a quiet, doting home without young kids. Squeaky & Stubley are brothers but do not need a home together.
Stubley is a handsome Chihuahua mix. He is 2 years old and weighs 9.7 LBS. He is current on his vaccinations and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Stubley and Squeaky are brothers, but they do not need a home together. The boys are used to using potty pads. Stubley is on the shy side. He is an active playful little guy. Stubley gets along with other dogs and is an adorable, sweet boy. Stubley will need a quiet, doting home without young children.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and help more homeless dogs find loving, FUR-ever homes. Your generous donation will fund our mission to take in homeless dogs, make sure they get spayed or neutered, are micro-chipped, and receive all current vaccines. All the while they will be fed, cared for and kept comfortable in all climates of weather by our foster families until their FUR-ever homes are found.
